Woodland Equipment Inc. has been a British Columbia operation since 1980. Owned and operated by co-owners George Anderson and Wayne Gilroy, together they opened their first branch in Kamloops, BC on January 15, 1980. The company began a used parts business buying and selling parts from burnt salvage machines and specialized in marketing Skidder parts for all brands of machines. They soon found “after market” new parts which enhanced their used sales to the large populations of skidders used in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.

During the 1980’s Woodland Equipment Inc. opened branch operations with co-owners in Cranbrook, BC, Williams Lake, BC, Langley, BC Vernon, BC and Grande Prairie, AB. Those branches marketed well known product lines such as Prentice, Hydro Axe, Timbco, Barko, Tree Farmer Skidders and Morbark Forestry Equipment.     

In 1992 Woodland Equipment Inc. became the first Hyundai Construction Equipment Dealer in British Columbia marketing Excavators and Wheel Loaders. Hyundai has become a world leader in the Construction Equipment field and Woodland Equipment Inc. has enjoyed sales of over 600 units since becoming their first British Columbia dealer.

In 1992 Woodland Equipment Inc. also became the first Peterson dealer in British Columbia and Alberta to market Whole Tree Chippers and Recyclers. In 1995 Woodland Equipment Inc. completed their first large sale of 10 model DDC-5000-G whole tree chippers to Daishowa Marubeni International in Peace River, Alberta. Woodland Equipment Inc. also operates a parts depot in Peace River, Alberta in conjunction with Bearing and Transmission to service the requirements of the chippers working in the area.         

In 2005 Woodland Equipment Inc. was appointed Construction Equipment Company (C.E.C.) dealers for Crushers and Screens and has enjoyed being involved in this ever expanding line of machinery.

Today Woodland Equipment Inc. operates full parts, sales and service branches in Kamloops, BC, Prince George, BC and Vernon, BC with Hywood Truck and Equipment Ltd as a sub dealer in Nelson, BC to fill the requirements of the ever expanding Construction and Forestry business in British Columbia and Alberta.
